"  Releasing your Inner Trainer " Suggestions for Harmony

This page will discuss the physical and emotional aspects of the horse - human relationship.  RELEASING YOUR INNER TRAINER, I am going to try a different approach on teaching feel and talking about release. The part we are going to discuss is, how you feel about what your're doing with your horse. The phyical aspect of feel is subjective,  shake hands in a group of people and you will get my point. How you feel when you are working with your horse is very personal, as it should be.  There will be no judgement over the training method being used,  choice of equipment or riding dicipline.  All my efforts are in helping you feel good about how you are interacting with your horse. There is no shortage of opinions on working with a horse. This isn't the entire process of training ,  putting a smile on your face and a first ride on a mustang,  might not be successful?  The technical and phyical aspect will be shared later.  If nothing else I say resonates with you, take this part FEEL GOOD ABOUT THE TIME YOU SPEND WITH YOUR HORSE.  I have always felt better being around horse's , feeling good and getting things done , over the last few years has really begun to flow.  The connection, yes I have grown as a trainer, but the deeper connection is I have grown as a person.  The journey of becoming the leader my horse's needed me to be has brought me to this wonderful place.  RELEASE,  let's talk about every aspect of this word, once you understand it's application you can replace it with something that feels better to you .  Owning the meaning behind the word will have a big effect on the outcome.  Have the word match the picture in your head to what you want. What you want is the very thing you need to keep sight of especially if it doesn't show up right away.  This can get away from you when things become phyical or speed up.  Remember we are talking about a mental feel,  phyical  will follow.   Let's have an example, again the phyical details omitted for now.  We want the horse to go forward,  on the ground and he is on a lead.  The right cue is used and nothing?    More often than not pressure is then applied , again no judgement, relax.  The horses attention shifts to the pressure, we loss sight of the release and it begins.   Let me draw you back to the original point,  the word release and how it makes you feel.  This is a short list of how I view release.  Release, open, set free , release tension, let go , opening the door , creating a path, freedom. THE NEXT WORD I WILL DISCUSS IS CONTROL.  Every few weeks I will add content if you like please share. Thanks for your time enjoy your horse.
